Three months down the road, we will have to rely on some other worker to finish the job. Because he came thru a friend, John was paid in full for the job; something I wouldn't normally do before completion but again it was a personal recommendation.
I called John from Magic Touch Painters on a Thursday afternoon to get a quote and timing. He came over that night to quote it - and did the job for me that Sunday morning!
To our surprise, he included these extras in the original price, and expressed a genuine feeling of openness to work with us on any concerns we had with the estimate, time frame, or anything else. This truly set him apart from the other painters.
John and the Painting crew arrived promptly in the morning of the day we scheduled and the experienced professional painting crew, that have been with Magic Touch Painters for many years, completed a flawless, spectacular job over the following days weather permitting. The house looks GREAT and the price was right!!!

To quote my mother “The painters were punctual, very neat both in appearance and the painting, I would highly recommend them.
We were referred to John of Magic Touch by a friend in the paint business. All was well at first; he is a congenial man with great knowledge of the business and gave us a fair price for the work that needed to be done. His workers did a fine job of wall fix, prep and painting and the man he hired to do the new molding was great.
I don't like to give negative reviews and think long and hard before doing so; but in this case, it was well deserved.
In his defense, there are some health issues within his family and for that he has our sympathies. But during the time we have waited, he could have sent over some of his crew for completion but that just didn't happen.
Pressure cleaning the back yard patio, for it would complement the newly painted house.
HOWEVER, when it came time to follow up and finish the job he was nowhere to be found. There were outlets, lights, and weather stripping to be reinstalled and some touch up issues that were never done. We spoke to him numerous times and he promised to show up and handle the situation, which he never did. My wife and I actually stayed home several times awaiting his attendance but those promises were continually broken.
I hate to write this re-review for as you can see from my original posting of 5-21-14 I was very pleased with John and his crew. Shortly after that my bathroom began to peal, later it began to bubble and crach. I called John seven(7) times and each time I was told he would be over, never did he show up or or call back. Now my bathroom is still not fixed and I will have to find a painted to fix it and and to paint my Kitchen ( I was going to have John do it) very sorry!
He was extremely accommodating - and his work was flawless. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a responsible painter.

Upon calling Magic Touch Painters, John Kulick came to our house the following day as promised and gave us the best estimate of the four painters we contacted. He shared his expertise in the business he has been in for many years by advising us on exactly what needed to be done to paint our tutor style house in Bayside Hills, and what process would be used along with what type of paint. John suggested a couple of other things to do to make the house look beautiful that we didn't even think of such as:
John is a good soul, very personable and honest. He's one of those people you feel you've known a long time, even though you just meet them. He even came to my mother's rescue by opening up a stuck closet door that had nothing to do with the exterior house painting he was there for!!!
